Ducks In The Grass

CHF 1,000.00

Medium: Oil on a linen panel
Year: 2026
Size: 30 × 40 cm / 12 × 16 inches

This oil painting shows two ducks I kept seeing in a park. They showed up day after day. People would come by with bread or seeds, and the ducks just made themselves at home, happy and comfortable. I couldn't stop looking at them. Their feathers — those greens shifting into emerald, with warm reddish hints catching the light — they were simply too beautiful. I absolutely had to take a photograph and later, I had to paint them.

In the painting, you see them the way I remember. The one in front looks right at you, steady and calm. The other hangs back a little, blurred and gentle, watching quietly from a distance. With green grass all around them, it's a peaceful kind of moment that makes you stop and just observe.

I made this painting because that moment stayed with me. Two ducks in their green world, quiet and calm.
