Artwork Commissions
Hand-painted landscapes & animal art made just for you.
How it works:
1. Tell me your idea
What would you like painted? A beloved pet? A favorite landscape? An animal you love? Share the mood, the feeling, anything that matters.
A gentle heads-up: oil painting (that I use most of the time) is a slow craft. Between painting in layers and allowing each stage to dry properly, the whole process takes about four weeks. I promise it's worth the wait.
2. Send several photos
Three to ten would be ideal. Don't worry about picking the "right" one — that's my job.
For animals, natural daylight from the side or front works best. Avoid harsh overhead light or deep shadows across the face. A catchlight in the eyes makes a stronger painting.
3. Review and suggestions
I might suggest a closeup instead of a full body. Or the animal from one photo, the background from another, the gaze from a third. I'll explain my thinking and show you what I mean.
4. Close work together
I'll make suggestions, ask for your opinion, and show you every stage: sketch, composition, color block-in, progress shots. Nothing is final until you're happy.
5. Agreement & deposit
Once we agree on the direction, I ask for a 50% deposit to reserve your place in my painting queue.
6. Painting process
Oil or acrylic on canvas or panel. In most cases, I use oil paints. You'll see the work as it develops.
7. You receive your painting
After final payment, I ship the original artwork to you.
